RecommendedMy father is fairly new to this nursing home. We moved him here from another facility to be closer to us. My father has the beginning stages of dementia, some days he knows who I am and others he has no idea. The staff is patient and caring with him. He seems to recognize the staff and responds well with them. My father is combative at times and the staff knows exactly how to approach him in order to calm him down. Please be careful with this facility!!! My father-in-law went in to this place for rehab from a UTI and a month later he came home on hospice and 4 days later he died. The nurses and aides that were in charge of him treated him with no respect. They tossed him around and put on an act when my wife would go to see him. He begged to be taken home. Friendly staff the nurse's and the CNA's are very accommodating. I know, because I've been a resident on All 3 floors for over a 5 year period. I have my own Recording Studio in my private room with a complete professional 7 piece drum set. Nobody can hear me playing because I have rubber inserts on all my drums. I was a professional Drummer with 'Motown' and 'BT Express female vocalist- Barabra Joyce, just to name a few./
I can’t believe I am even writing this post to discuss what happened to my grandfather and the grief that my family and I are still facing because of his passing. What I find even harder to believe is that this “establishment” that is suppose to be there to help elderly people and treat them as though they are their own family , did the exact opposite.
