Bought a snowblower and this is the 4th season of using it. The thing is junk, 2 years out of 4 its hardly useable. Its been in the shop for warrantee work, Ive spent countless hours fixing it and I still cant rely on it. You would think a brand new machine would be good but nope. Never buying Ariens again and I suggest no one else does
Back wheel fell off with the lug nuts still on the lugs. Not covered by warranty. I've now been on hold waiting to get to customer service and the on hold song is a bad copy of Tuesday's gone and when the prompt comes on to say they have a high call volume it starts the song over. lol Hub is stuck on and wont come off. Guess its time to bad mouth them on *********************
They do not care about their customers and really don’t care about their product!!
I always like to buy local and therefore in 1995 I bought a new Ariens walk behind mower model 911060 and it worked flawlessly until May of 2017 when I thought that I got my money worth out of it ( I still have it and it still works great) so in May of 2017 I bought another Ariens walk behind mower model 911173 and it is a real pos, first off the wrong spark plug size was posted in the owners manual which I didnt find out until I put the wrong plug in per the owners manual and it started to bang and cut out right away and ov... read more
On June 2nd 2021 I bought and paid for an Arien's Edge 34" Zero Turn at Lowes in ******** **. Delivery was expected within two weeks. It did not come in. Then I was told mid-July. Now I am told end of August. Lowes will not answer their phone for status, and Arien's have shut down their email. Is this how business is done in ******* now? I purchased a Ariens 52inch Zero Turn lawnmower 10 months again with a 3 year warranty. The drive belt broke & I found two service centers in my area. One was close to my home and the other one was 40 minutes away. I called the closest repair shop. They told me Ariens snowblowers are what they sell. No warranty service for lawnmowers. I contacted the second shop some distance away. The answer; we have not seen a Ariens mower in years. No service. Why would I use a repair center who is unfamiliar with my mower? Just Purchased a snow-Thro---921048---Packed well--No damage-Went together well untill I came to the Placing of the snow chute--Routed ok but when I came to 3-6 and 3-7-- I had a H^$@ of a time sliding the cable into the attachment--NEEDS TO BE SMALLER SO IT WILL SLIDE INTO THE ATTACHMENT--"Thinner"--Other than that I am extreamely happy with the Snow-Thro--
I bought a Ariens pro-path in Nov 2015, since the pull rope has come out and it has refused to start three times. Ariens refuses to cover the pickup/delivery to the dealer stating it is my responsibility. I paid for a working snow blower and it is in fact not working. The customer service rep even hung up the phone on me today. First he said he would find a dealer with the best turn around most are around 3-4 weeks, then got mad and hung up. Ariens has been in contact with *** ***** on several occasions since December 12, 2016. As with all manufacturing, Ariens Company adheres to a warranty policy that in the unlikely event a machine needs warranty repair the parts and labor would be the expense of the company. This was the case with *** *****’s recoil rope. As stated in the warranty policy pickup and delivery in not covered under warranty.
