Argyll Whisky Beer is a place that I can go and feel at home in an atmosphere with some of the best food available anywhere in Denver. The only restaurants I've ever had food at that are more consistently great were at The Broker and the Flagstaff House, but the difference is that at Argyll, I don't feel like I'm rude when I drop food on my shirt. My expectations for Argyll were high but I was very disappointed in the overall experience. Our service was quite slow and it was very difficult to get our servers attention despite it being a slow, Sunday evening. Food wise, it was sub-par. I had the fish & chips, which they have won awards on, and found it to be very overcooked and unappetizing.
