Great, Quick and professional service. Reasonable prices. Very friendly staff.
Got a burst tyre close by and phoned Argyle tyres who were just about to close. They agreed to see me straight away and fixed it. Life savers.
Absolute con artists. They said my Range Rover sport needed a new turbo, and they charge £90ph labour. Wanted just under £2,000 in total. I went to two other mechanics for a second opinion who said it's definitely not the turbo, and the EGR pipes had holes and needed replacing and a small oil leak. That's it. Very disappointing. Wasted £50 to them to give me false information. They probably didn't even look at the car properly.
So I just want to give people my experience so they don't make the same mistake as I did. I've lived across the road from Argyle Tyres for many years, and I've known Mehdi (proprietor) on and off over the years. I'm not very trusting of mechanics so it's taken me a long time to trust him to do bits on my car. I recently purchased a modified MX-5 MK1 and I needed to fit a big brake kit, as one of my calipers was binding. I spoke to Mehdi and he said no problem.
