I made my 1-night reservation through Expedia for a single King room, then called about 10 days before arrival to switch to a 2-Queen room since my (grown) son decided to join me for the trip. We arrived at about 6:30 pm March 14, 2025 and were greeted indifferently by the desk clerk. No big deal – I gave my name and picked up my key. Great Sleep Looking for a cheap but great sleep? i recommend this place because the rates are reasonable and you will sleep well. Plus the town is really quiet and not very crowded

My husband stayed there and the heat was not working. After 2 failed attempts to fix it, a insufficient space heater, and another room with a no working key, he requested a refund. He had been there 2 hours, waiting to see if room would warm up. They refused his refund. Then they refused to let him go back to his room. Apparently there is a clause they can “ kick you out” Anytime they like in the contract you sign when you book a room.

In August my husband and I, together with my parents, stayed at the Argo Inn and Suites in Idaho Springs. The rooms we stayed in were filthy! Other guests we spoke with agreed that their rooms were very dirty. I told the front desk that the surfaces of our room had not been cleaned as there were food particles on the tables. gave me a white rag and cleaning solution to clean the room myself. The host of the reunion rented the room / town home for us. Six adults stayed in the room. Four beds, three baths, full living room, big screen TV, leather furniture, full kitchen, dinning room, large balcony and a view of the mountains. It rained every afternoon. The room turned into reunion headquarters. There is a fire pit by the Clear Creek and two gas BBQ grills, one charcoal grill on the court yard. These all were enjoyed a great deal. We recently stayed here as a jumping off point for a visit to Mount Evans and it worked out great. The Inn is located directly on the river and many rooms are riverfront. Two of the riverfront rooms have fireplaces. We indicated a preference for this type of room and were very pleased to find it waiting for us when we arrived. It's a 5 - 10 minute walk to downtown and most of the local restaurants and shops. Starbucks and other familiar dining options are also just minutes away. Older place with clean rooms, decent rates and friendly staff. Was bought out about a year ago and is a good value. Central location and has discounts for the area restaurants and Hot springs. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the area.My husband and I look forward to taking many trips to this lovely town and staying at the Argo.

We especially like the older rooms that have fireplaces, kitchenettes and patios off the creek. The rooms are always clean, very little noise and the service very nice.

This place was such a great place, I was disappointed we only stayed for 2 nights. We were on the creek which was beautiful. The fire pit was a fun surprise, and we made s'mores with our kids one night. The room was clean, and housekeeping was very friendly (all the staff were). Breakfast is a bit lacking with only Danish, but included with the room was a list of places in town that discounts were given to the guests of the Inn.
