He was the first (and only) neurologist who took the time to actually listen to me when I presented with early NPH Sx. After several visits and really thorough testing for alternative explanations, he arranged for In-Pt testing, shunt resulting that saved me from a life being warehoused somewhere awful. Maybe not the greatest sense of humor but I don't go to MD's for entertainment. He met all of my well-honed requirements of excellence in the practice of medicine.
As a retired physician I can be a harsh critic of physicians I see about my own health but I have only the highest regard for Dr Moustakas. I saw him with a rather severe problem that mimics dementia, a diagnostic challenge compounded by my somewhat eccentric personality but he was unfazed and simply responded with attention and care, actually listening to me, and patiently arrived at a treatable diagnosis.
