We hired Arete to do a full rehab of 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom condo. The issues we were concerned about were cost, timing and quality. Also, we wanted a contractor experienced in working with condos. The absolutely best renovation team! Arete made my kitchen into an absolute dream. I will post pictures soon. Everything was carefully planned, discussed, and even the smallest details were meticulously executed. I am picky and a perfectionist myself, and I could not be more satisfied. We hired Arete to do a pretty thorough "facelift" of our condo. Ivana, Marina and Shannon were great in helping us in the design process. They were responsive and had great ideas. We quickly finalized the design and selected materials. I recently hired Arete for a renovation on my newly purchased condo in downtown Chicago, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The project included installing engineered hardwood throughout most of the unit, carpeting the bedroom, removing a wall and replacing it with a telescopic sliding door, electrical work, wall patching, and a complex TV mount that required reinforcing the wall. HORRIBLE company. AVOID AT ALL COST!! They have been in charge of our home remodel for the past 6 MONTHS. We were given an estimate of being done by the end of last year (2024.) We are now mid-March 2025 and there is no end in sight. This has displaced our family for 6 months and counting (with our baby and pets in tow), affecting our income (I am a solo entrepreneur out of her home market and therefore unable to work) and there is NO urgency on their part to get it done.
