Terrible payee service. Last year my gf had to battle with them to get money to go on vacation. Now my gfs mother is being refused her saved money to go. And also be careful having Bill's sent to them. We had to have Colony Heating/AC come repair our furnace last winter as the temp in our home dropped to the 50s and we had the bill sent to Area Payee Services but by coincidence Area Payee Service also uses Colony Heating/AC and the bill was mistakenly sent in the Area Payee Services in the owners name. I can't believe the company that's trying to get business from Area Payee Service.They put up a sign across the street from Area Payee. A second time after the city forced them to take it down the 1st sign. If they're ok with breaking laws I won't trust them with my money. They really must be desperate.
This business talks about how much they care about their clients, but it is only the money they make that matters. The disabled people they represent pay them $41.00 each month to write as little as 2 checks. The business receives their Social Security checks on the 3rd of the month and often does not send them their money until the middle of the month or later. They won't even return phone calls from their disabled clients who are very low income.
