RecommendedGot a used stair chair lift that is perfect for my mom. Tyler and the install guys were great.
Once your product is installed, you are screwed if it breaks down. It is weeks before someone can even come out and you pay a lot for it. Our VPL isn’t much over a year old but nothing is under warranty and you just get hosed financially and physically since you are without a functional way in and out. I’m now going on 3 plus weeks without a working lift and no estimated end in sight given.
When we purchased the chairlifts, we spent 15k to do an install. We were promised the ability to resell them back if necessary. We used the chairs for 6 months and had to have them repaired at least once with no explanation as to why one broke. It still didn’t work right after the fix. We contacted them to come get the chair lifts as we were moving and would need new ones again in the new house. With less than 6 months use, they would only give us $1400.00 for the lifts. Bruno brand has the best ratings. However, ours Bruno (a lemon) now is 4-5 years old & had a burned out motor within 1st year, cracked seat from repeatedly falling down & an armrest electrical short & contact electrical problems despite regular cleaning. Flo the lead tech & now repair manager is awesome at his job. The company does double charge service calls for problem analysis & then returning to install a part if required to be ordered.Others charge one service call fee per total repair. I am very disappointed. The lift in our garage stopped working on Sunday. It is the only way for my wife to get in and out of the house. No technician was available. We scheduled a 2 to 4 on Wednesday. They moved it to 4:30 to 6 on Wednesday. No one showed and my wife is stranded.
5 Stars! We just had a great stair-lift chair, the Stannah Siena model, installed today by Area Access! I ordered it Tuesday and they installed Friday! I received awesome customer service from Dorothy Hardee and the installation technicians, Jonathan and Jesse. I highly recommend Area Access - I think they really care about their customers.
The staff here was not very attentive to my Uncle who is suffering from MS. Mr. Brooks gave me information on their business in March of 2018 where I was working. I went back to TX my Uncle then went to the showroom in Manassas. He spoke with Andria. And Mr Brooks was asked for due to my conversation with him. Mr Brooks was not helpful and passed my Uncle on to someone else. Mr. Brooks was very rude in the end. Ms Richards commented on my profile photo instead of addressing the issue.
