Area 66 is home to the world's only complete geodesic sphere elevated off the ground by a single pole. The sphere houses a UFO/Government black box museum that is currently undergoing refurbishment and is closed indefinitely. Note: The Museum is NOT wheelchair accessible. There is a convenience store located on the property as well open Wednesday-Sunday 10am to 6pm. Small but perfect!!!! They carry almost everything grocery wise, ice cold beer, ice, everyday items such as milk,eggs, bread, ice cream, condiments, candy, cupcakes, cigarettes etc. The new owner is just as friendly as the previous. While they may not carry as big of a variety as the local truck stop, his prices are MUCH LOWER..ASK TO SEE INSIDE THE ALIEN MUSEUM. Bonus it is privately owned by a member of the Yucca community. It's easy access from I-40 take the Alamo Exit.... ENJOY
