You will see that ARE Services provided a well thought out response to my review. However, the vents shown in the photos were re-installed by ARE Services to provide air supply for a gas fire in the living area, despite our apartment not having a gas fire. These vents do not contain mechanical fans and simply allow cold Queenstown air into the apartment. They are also not part of the Building WOF requirements. ARE Services carried out a heat pump removal and installation at my place, Joel the site technician was professional and approachable, the work looks great and I couldn't recommend them more. The team in the office were easy to talk to and handled all the paperwork and stress for me.

We have used ARE over the last 20 odd years for electrical work in our offices, and for our private homes. From heat pump installation to lighting, fixing appliances, and most recently for all electrical and air conditioning work on a cabin we are getting built. ARE Services demonstrated a poor understanding of what is actually required for a building WOF. Even more concerning, their tradesman installed ventilation for a gas fire that doesn’t exist — and we were still charged for it. This raises serious questions about their attention to detail and competence.
