I would not recommend this facility if you have a family member who needs assistance with feeding, and definitely not for someone who can’t move/walk. My Aunt who had Parkinson’s resided here. They were short staffed. No assistance with meals at dinner. If a family member was not there, we were concerned that she wouldn’t eat. Staff was not attentive to her needing help with drinking or eating. She also developed a hematoma and had to be taken to the ER. I am very disappointed with the care my Godmother received at this nursing home. She was injured while under their supervision, which should never have happened in a place where residents’ safety and well-being are supposed to be the top priority. It was clear that there was insufficient staffing to properly monitor and assist residents. This lack of care and oversight led directly to her injury. My mother was admitted into Arden care in Palos Heights Illinois on April 5th. At this time I was convinced she had full out Alzheimer’s disease. There is a story behind this but what I will say is that ALL employees made my mom and me feel comfortable. They helped me to try to understand what is happening with my mom. This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made as an only child. I had to come to the realization that I can no longer care for my mom. She needed to move into a memory care facility. I needed to find a community that she will be well taken care of and safe. Arden Courts is it. Ingrid was the first person I met at Arden Court. She’s very informative and understanding. Disgusting..do not bring your loved ones here You will be sorry..and so will they The care is awful and neglectful I have seen residents strapped into wheel chairs, witnessed residents lying in bed naked, sores not being treated and turning into infections that required hospitalization DO NOT GO HERE!!!
