I went for hair bleach at this Salon back in 2022 (this review is a long time coming lol). I am Blasian and have long thick hair, a stylist named Gary was booked. I liked him he was sweet.. but He totally botched my hair. I told him bleach but retain the hair health. He actively pushed my hair to the lightest (it was uneven too) and destroyed the texture. Gary truly is the color doctor! He got my hair exactly where I wanted it in one session, along with really great product recommendations alongside a fantastic hair coloring experience!
My favorite hair salon in Brooklyn. The stylists are knowledgeable, kind, welcome and honest! I’m happy to get honest feedback before experimenting with a new color/style…and of course the end result has never disappointed me. My senior mom needed a last-minute fix-up to her hair for a wedding, and Gary was an absolute gem. Not only did he fit us into his packed schedule, but he gave her blowdry a refresh and curled the ends. She was thrilled with the results and received lots of compliments! I can’t recommend this salon enough. Gary is the best!
I am obsessed with Arco and all their stylists! I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years now and have been seeing Gary even longer than that and realized I never left them a review. If you want a salon that tells you the truth and gives you the color that will compliment your complexion all while keeping your hairs integrity (their number one priority!!) then you need to be getting your hair done here.
