After 10 months of a 3 month project, Tom Dewitz stopped working on our project and stopped communicating. He never completed the job, even though we had paid in full. We found out later that his license has been revoked by the state in Jan 2023 for not paying sub-contractors. We had sub-contractors calling us to try and get payment. We went to conciliation court to get our money back. Do not use this contractor!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hired Tom in the spring of 2020 to complete a deck project which was supposed to be completed by the end of June 2020. Throughout the year less and less work was completed and he became extremely unresponsive until it seemed like he needed money. This spring I hired a new company to complete his mess and learned that many things were done incorrectly. I would strongly advise against doing any business with this company unless you want to be left with a mess.

Job was quoted on September 2, with completion date of October 7th. Contractor is still not finished as of October 26. Painting job was horrible. Contractor came back a number of times to correct defects, but did not complete them. Contractor failed to get permits, which was line item one in contract. Three weeks later, when we asked for info on permit, he said getting one would delay the project! We specified a style of custom doors to match our upstairs doors.
