These guys do excellent quality work for lower prices than most transmission places and their kindness was really appreciated. Oh and the transmission still going !
Bad bad bad....I had a front seal leak, Don says I needed a rebuild on the transmission. I said oK to rebuild it ..after getting the vehicle back.. i find out the trans is not rebuilt and it has old parts still and old transmission fuid. I taking him to court threw small claims court because he will not admit to it and he denies it. I had a Ford inspection to verify. We are currently going thrw litigation...These guys are Con artists.
I have been going to Archer Transmission for 15 years and I have always gotten excellent service. I have been extremely satisfied with the work and the cost is very reasonable and competetive. Bill Dornbos is one of the most knowledgeable mechanics that I have ever dealt with.
I brought them an 88 chevy celeb wagon, and a 93 chevy astro and did not find a better deal for the quality craftmanship. They use cheap parts, but were willing to install parts I bought from Autozone and they still stood behind the work (not the parts, but the parts I bought were quality). I had an excellent experience at Archer Trans. Bill is an awesome mechanic! He can fix anything!!! Bill took the time to explain what was wrong with my car. He never tried to con me. My famliy and I have been trusting our car repairs to Bill for 20 years. If you want an excellent mechanic who is fair and friendly, go see Bill at Archer Trans!!
