This was such a great experience, the staff were amazing and my stylist was the best! She picked the dress that I eventually went with. I'm a size 10 and all the dresses that I tried fit well, beautiful store and dressing rooms, lighting was flattering. I was very comfortable and had a really great experience. Brought my dress and veil after 1 appointment. Very reasonably priced but beautiful dresses :) I am so happy that this was my experience dress shopping - thank you Archela Bridal & Zoe!!!
The consultant I dealt with was kind of pushy and dismissive. She kept interrupting me, wouldn’t let me browse or talk with my cousin, and constantly tried to steer me toward other dresses. I felt very rushed and told what I should try rather than just letting me have a proper look. When I mentioned being nervous about alterations (as I’ve heard horror stories) she insisted I’d need them no matter what and pushed hard about sizes—telling me I wasn’t the same size everywhere and that my weight would fluctuate. I found my dream dress online and saw that Archela was one of the only two stockists of it in Australia. As a Melbourne bride I was really taken aback by how helpful and reassuring they were about lead times and an offer of leniency with storage times if I needed it to organise a trip to come pick it up. I found my dream dress at Archela on the weekend. In total I tried 3 different shops, I definitely had the best experience at Archela. Zoe was absolutely fabulous, extremely helpful, friendly and so very accommodating to let me come back and make sure my dress was the one with an extra appointment the next day. My family was very impressed with her also, having been to other dress shops in the past as well.
