I am wanting to leave a review on behalf of myself and Michele. Joan Thompson {Michele's mother} is a resident of Arcare Croydon and I was lucky enough to be invited by Joan and Michele to attend their Christmas luncheon on Friday19th December and what a great time was had by all. The management and staff outdid themselves. The food was delicious and the decorations were so festive. My grandmother has been living at Arcare Croydon since it opened and as a family we have been so happy with the care she has been given. The facilities are 'luxury' (in her words!) and there are so many activities on offer that she keeps busier than ever. It has been so reaffirming of the decision to move her to always see her with other residents when we visit, socialising in the cafe or in one of the lounges. We moved my mum to Arcare for two weeks of respite but in that time it was clear to her that it was the right place for her long term. She was made to feel so welcome and settled in happily and quickly. The staff and management have been incredibly helpful and caring to mum and to us as we’ve navigated her move to aged care. They encouraged her early on to join in activities on offer and helped introduce her to other residents whose company she now enjoys everyday. My aunt is a resident of Arcare in Croydon. I attended today for their friends and family Christmas party. We had a wonderful 3 course meal. The staff are all super friendly and we even had some special guests!
