The general in-patient and nursing care for my mother was very good. However, the medical and administrative management was sub-standard. Whilst they admitted there was little more they could do to help her chronic pain, their manner of “kicking her out” and wanting to send her home in an unsafe manner was appalling.
I was admitted with an open stomach wound .doctors Min and Sue worked out a plan and the RNs team led by Melissa , dressed and packed the woud daily with a high degree of professionalism and tlc. I was discharged last week after two weeks and the wound has healed and improved to the stage where I am am able to continue the treatment at a local doctors surgery in manly. Great food lovely staff very friendly and accommodating the kitchen/meal staff have made every effort to provide and prepare a wide range of tasty recipes. The meals seem more like restaurant quality meals than hospital meals.
Last month I required a Total Knee Replacement. I was very fortunate to spend 2 weeks at Arcadia. The room was very comfortable. The nursing staff were all exceptional in caring and managing my pain together with my doctor. The physiotherapy staff were absolutely fantastic in improving my mobility and movement. The catering was excellent. I can highly recommend Arcadia for rehabilitation. Thank you all so much. Richard Newton.
