My wife went to the minor injuries unit with an urgent situation. Basically was told to go away and see a doctor , wasn't interested in the slightest about the problem and shut the glass panel before she could even reply , couldn't have cared less . The MIU receptionist shouldn't be in this line of work with this attitude. My wife was in tears about it and felt completely let down at a time where she needed help .

My partner, who is an advanced nurse practitioner who works triaging people on 111 has been sent away and been told to call 111, when she showed up - after hours - with a self assessed DVT, which can be life threatening. The staff was aware the wait for 111 was 72 minutes, 4 hours for an ambulance. If you fear for your life drive to Edinburgh, better chance of being seen in time and appropriately.

If you get the option to have a baby in the maternity unit, do! We had a great experience. The midwives are experienced, chilled and compassionate and they will do what’s best for mum and baby. They really know what they’re doing, both on the physical side of birth and the sometimes less-prioritised emotional side too. Grateful for our Angus midwives.

Drew is a fussy eater but the very first 'bowl of soup' he had enabled him to start looking forward to his food. As food is a unit of energy the cooks at Arbroath produced lovely nutritional meals all helped wi... read more
