Our sweet pup Josie was diagnosed with IMHA, an autoimmune disease. Our vet sent us to this hospital. They helped get her stable and we got one more day with her, but unfortunately the disease was too aggressive and we had to put her down. Throughout the whole terrible experience, all of the staff at VCA Arboretum View were kind and gentle. They took good care of our sweet girl, but he little body just couldn't handle it. We appreciated the empathetic care. Thank you
We had to bring our beloved Siamese cat here late one night when he was clearly not well. His prognosis was anywhere from guarded to grave, and I am eternally impressed by the compassion and care that was shown to us. We met with Dr. Sowder and he really spent time to help us understand the possible outcomes, and what treatment would be given in various situations. Run as fast and as far as you can from this facility. It is atrocious. Not only does it lack empathy, compassion, and care for your cherished pet, but its medical practices are negligent and incompetent. I had my cat treated in the hospital over the weekend with explicit instructions not to give her methimazole, a medication for hyperthyroidism, because she has a severe reaction to it. It is also against their own practice to give animals methimazole within two weeks of having a radioactive iodine treatment, for which my cat... read more
Not a pleasant experience, you and your dog are just a number. Not the best bedside manor and I feel there is overall lack of knowledge. Techs took my pets blood pressure wrong and no one could tell us why there were huge discrepancies in the blood pressure readings that day. Did a full panel of blood work and said they would provide the results but yet did not give us the full report with the readings etc..will never go back.
