Arbor Heights Assisted Living "healthcare" staff (in Des Moines, IA) need to encourage residents to wear compression socks and shoes when hanging out in the lobby areas for long periods of time without proper leg elevation. It is also a health and safety hazard to allow tenants to walk outside of their apartment units without shoes on...he/she could come in contact with small sharp objects, a slippery substance and/or hazardous liquids like urine (for example) on public walking areas.
