They refused to let me have an advocate with me and told me if I wanted to be seen I would have to do it alone. The bald male "practitioner" who refused to let me be seen with my advocate aggressively yelled at me when doing so and even punched his fist into his other hand to get his point across. Not a safe place if you're a female and 100% NOT a trauma informed staff.
Visiting from out of state and this was the closest emergency room from our remote little town. Of course, an emergency happened late at night and we were so grateful this was open. Front desk staff, all nurses, x-ray tech, and Dr Spera were kind, calm, and exceptionally competent. Even on a busy night. Thank you for resolving a very painful jaw dislocation!!
My dad came in and delt with a lady named Ashley (night time Ashley, I guess there’s a daytime too) and she was by far the most helpful person I’ve delt with in my dads situation. He had a lot of issues with different emergency rooms and this was the only one to actually help. I know Morton has a reputation, but if that was anything to go on then it could be making a turnaround
While it is a small ER compared to big city ER departments, this ER doc saw my daughter last night and sent her home with what she needed to manage a dental infection & severe pain... in and out in just over an hour. I realize that is rare, but each member of staff showed concern for her level of pain, were respectful, sent us home. I like the MD, who had a delightful personality. Bedside manners really help. Kudos to you guys! Thanks.
