We had a terrible experience, even by residential construction standards, buying from Monterey Bay, an AR Homes franchise. Our home was 18 months under construction on a 10 month contract build target. We moved in March 2023, and despite constant requests and promises the overwhelming majority of our day one punch list items are still outstanding. Building a custom home is a long journey that requires a lot of patience because so many variables are uncontrollable, but totally worth it at the end. We absolutely love our new home!!!
