Jack refuses to correct his mistake and make it right saying I'd have to pay him additional $300 for him to bring his work to code. Jack Rininger undersized the wiring coming from the Generac he installed (using #6 wire instead of #4 off a 70-Amp breaker - with over 20 minutes use means he should also add 20% amperage for "continuous duty" - but he clearly did not). Gas pipe he used was also undersized and it causes our generator to hiccup during use during power outages as our lights dim intermittently.
Jack installed our whole-house Generac gas-powered generator. He under-sized the wires coming from its 70-Amp breaker (#6 instead of #4). It passed Deerfield inspection since they did not ever look at the wire Jack used, only the depth of the gas pipe. Though the Lake County Electrical Inspector agrees the wire was undersized, Jack Rininger REFUSES to make it right saying I'd have to pay him additional $300 to bring his work to code.
