Akwen does amazing work! She does everything from braiding to hair extensions. She has braided my hair and my daughters hair on several occasions. She is the only stylist that I know of that does fast and quality work!
For the past two years, Akwen (originally from Cameroon in west-central Africa) has been braiding our son's hair and twisting and styling my wife's dreadlocks. Her work lasts, and smells great! We're very happy that she has just opened her new salon nearby to us in Northborough, right next to Sawyer's Bowladrome. Now everyone can have the chance to experience her great work and beautiful, friendly personality. A professional like Akwen that works on black hair is a welcome, and needed addition to the area.
Akwen is a true professional! I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. She never overbooks and is always on time. I’ve seen that she can work with all hair types which is a testament to how talented she is. I usually get hair extensions (she sells some that are amazing quality) or braids, but she can do it all. And on top of all of that, she is the sweetest, kindest person!
