I m surprised at the bad reviews. I ve been going there off and on for about 9 years now. I ve never had any problems with the old man who runs it. The parrot in the one comment is George, he always says hello when people come in and he loves Mc Donald s French fries and always asks for them. But it s not good to feed birds salt so unless the owner knows they are unsalted fries he usually won t let anyone feed George. As far as cleanliness I ve never see that store dirty. Don t ever shop here. The shop is nasty and the old man is very rude. He has a bird in there and told my 5 yr old daughter that she could feed him a fry well the fry fell through the bottom so Shaylee went to get another fry and he grabbed her hand and told her no. I m just glad I wasn t there I would of went off.

My wife and I just got back from being thrown out of the worst pet shop in Fayetteville. The Aquarium on Yadkin Rd is by far the worst ever. Dirty tanks, dead fish, emaciated cats, fatherless birds, just gross all around. And when asked how much his emaciated cat was (my wife wanted to rescue it from this atrocity) the owner says 175\$. : sold me THREE diseased fish. One I managed to save. These fish are 30-100 a piece. Gave me misinformation on care and keeping of saltwater fish. They told me it did not MATTER how many fish i had in one aquarium (which i knew was garbage they just wanted to sell) I decided not to get any more fish from them. But equipment should be fine yes? Salt water selection is the best in town! I have also special ordered fish and other items through them. I have never had any trouble with the aquarium or its employees/owners. I get prompt, knowledgeable customer service. I know if I have any questions about any type of animal or fish problems I can go to them and get help. They have recently got a lot of new merchandise in and they seem to be stocking more things now too. I would recommend them to anyone in town.
obviously wrote a review for themselves. Poor attempt at masking your poor business practices. Overpriced merchandise and BLATANT about telling you any old thing just to open your wallet. If I found a store that would say ...you know what I want to make this sale but you should kow those fish arent compatible.
