Pilates and Yoga Included! What a great place to workout. Clean, towel service, great staff and they just added all new equipment with ipads in the cardio!! It is worth every penny and I would never go back to a supermarket gym after this experience. They have a dietician, Physical therapists on-site and a an amazing Piltaes instructor Bernadette. (the others are good two) but I train with bernadette. Hands down the best on the mainline!
Great Programs and Clean!! I just joined and AFC Fitness is amazing. My wife is taking tons of YOga in the Yoga studio and using the private pilates? instruction. I am using the cardio center and the weight rooms. The Manager Janice could not have been any nicer and more accomadationg. The Babysittign is great and the place is always very very clean. Especially the locker rooms as I shower there before work. Just wanted to take a minute and say Thumbs up to AFC!!!
they do you no favors It is clean and well maintained.Not crowded either,maybe because(1) they charge double what you'd pay at the supermarket gyms and (2)don't offer much in terms of programs.Management is mostly concerned with renting space to outside interests(baseball,tennis, etc.)than in the reg. members.
Aquatic & Fitness needs more programs more programs! needs to have a teen fitness program! been researching facilities and only one seems to have a fitness program for teens, to help with the obesity problem with kids worldwide!
Inside Scoop 10 year old equiptment, terrible HVAC problems-hot during the summer, cold during the winter as well as leaking from workout area ceiling. Car break in problems that have been going on for years that they do not warn their members about. The location is convenient which is why some members have stayed there dealing with substandard issues but there is a reason several of their trainers workout at LA Fitness 5 minutes away and many members have moved there.
Country Club like Setting AFC in Bala Cynwyd is amazing. The facilities are vast, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Carlos, Terrance, Kevin,Janice, and so many classes. The club is very clean and well equip. They always do nice things for us like parties, barbeque's, special class events, members appreciation days. AFC has a Registered Dietitian on staff and Physical Therapy on site. alot of parking, childcare, tennis courts. very nice overall. Love all Four! I have been a member with AFC for 5 years and actually take advantage of using all four facilities as I travel a lot for business. I have belonged to many gyms in my past and have never had a better experience with staff and club offerings. I love playing raquet ball at Bala and using the HUGE pool at the Grant Avenue location. I train at the Bala Cynwyd site and love my trainer, Jonna, I have gained so much strength through my twice weekly sessions.
I Love this Club! I joined this club primarily because I wanted to play tennis. Turns out AFC Bala Cynwyd has everything that one can possibly want in a club. Unlike other clubs that charge rediculous hourly rates with a club members, court time is free (actually included in the VIP tennis membership)!
Awesome club I'm a member of Cherry HIll, but used to belong o Bala. When I moved, I made sure to stick with AFC! I love this club - they have so many classes to choose from. Also the staff is very friendly; it almost seems like a social atmosphere more than just a gym. I've been only to the Cherry Hill and bala cynwyd locations, but i heard the others are just as good. I've reccommended my friends to join and they are just as happy as I am.
