We have had an Aqua System water softener in our home for 27 years. We have always done what they told us to do, and it works like a champ. We have never had problems with it in 27 years. We are on a well and have had an Aqua Systems softener for about 20 years. All was fine until the company was bought by a group in Chicago. A couple months ago, the system went down. They couldn't get to us for a little over two weeks. Raw well water is pretty rough! (Of course, we were paying rent on an out-of-service unit.) This company never responds to emails. Had a leak upon installation and contacted company and sent video that they requested. Told them exactly what was wrong. Never got replacement parts. After waiting several weeks i went to home depot and got what I needed to fix the leak. Further more I post on Facebook to get free filter replacements. We had our water softener and reverse osmosis systems serviced by Aqua Systems. (filters changed, water softness tested.) The service tech was very condescending. When I asked a question, he acted irritated that I was asking; as if I should know the answers. He finished the complete service in about 15 minutes. I feel that with paying the service fee of $165 labor + parts, the technician should have willingly answered my questions without a snarky attitude.
Called them in 2019 to give me a quote on a water softener... they sent someone out to my house. I didn't buy one because I was selling house. I received a bill for $120 for them coming out to try to sell me a new softener. I couldn't believe it. I called and told them they never said I would get a bill for it - it was a a sales call for gods sake not a repair call. I told them I didn't feel it was right to charge me for it. First I would like to say that the first review on here is kind a hard to believe that there was no apology or refunds or anything saying how I had a thing with the situation and they gave me a whole house unit for free $1500 but they didn't give you at this place has been around for 50+ years and I never use them so I went water softener shopping with my water softener went out and went to these other water softener stores that were charging $5000-$8000 depending on the unit you needed and come to here and it is over 80% ch... read more
If I could give a zero star I would. Billing nightmare. They sent us past due notices, we then called them to make sure we were current and paid over the phone. They then sent it to collections. Only to find out it was a mistake on their end. They had two open accounts under the same name. So we were paying on one and never paying the other. No apology, no refunds. Pathetic company. Also, since you get no monthly statements your at their mercy on your account .
Home delivery of salt is very convenient. They fill the water softener for you.
