A cut above the rest!!! Not only does this store have a passionate, knowledgable staff, but they have the goods!! If I'm looking for something hard to obtain, rare, or just something that I can't find somewhere else, they order it and buy it. I have yet to find another specialty pet store such as this. Every time I go in there is something new,and I am consistantly blown away by their selection in corals. I've never seen so many brain corals and in so many different varieties. Typical small Marine store It's one of those stores that if you lived close to, you would frequent but definately wouldn't go out of your way to visit. There's nothing terrible about them but nothing that would set them apart either. They carry strictly marine livestock but some of their supplies are freshwater. They have tanks, lights, food, equipment, marine fish and corals. It's not the largest selection seeing as it is a small store and the prices are higher. Great Staff This is a small store that uses every bit of space. It is hard to get around, especially when you have kids with you. I must say that the staff goes out of their way to help you. They are well informed and if they don't know the answer they have no problem spending the extra time looking up the answer on the computer. I thought they did a great job with my son who had so many questions about fish!
Only on the Weekend The owner is cheap, and extremely rude. His son is usually in there during the week and he refuses to get up out of his chair on the computer for anything. If he doesnt know something, he makes it up (terrible idea when you are talking about $1000's invested in a tank). Unless your buying something expensive he probably won't even talk to you. I had boycotted this place until I HAD to go in on a Saturday (which I had never done before.) They have a young guy in there, named Eric or Derek (i forget), and h... read more
Bad customer service This store has lots of saltwater livestock, however what they lack is customer service. If you're not there to drop big $$ like setting up a complete system, they are not willing to help, what you spent there in the past mean nothing to them. I've been a customer there for about a year, I bought everything for my setup from them, spent almost $5K, they were very helpful at that time. However as my tank mature and I didn't need anything major, just maintenance, I notice a hugh change in their attitude (th... read more
