My question is who is leaving the 5 star reviews... I couldn't stay there for even 10 minutes. We got there on Thursday around 3PM, a very normal time to arrive, plus they knew our flight details. No-one at the reception, we called about 10 times the 'emergency' number until someone picked up and said that someone's coming in 10 minutes. I walked into my room and had a full asthma attack from the cigarette smell combined with some horrendous cleaning product. I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever at APX Darling Harbour Serviced Apartments. The moment I opened the door, I was hit with a disgusting smell that filled the entire room — a mix of mold, sewage, and something rotten. It was so strong that I almost couldn’t stay inside. As if that wasn’t bad enough, there were cockroaches everywhere — on the floor, in the kitchen area, near the bathroom, and even close to the bed! I was completely shocked and disgusted. I had a guest arriving at a different time to me and I asked reception multiple times before I had to leave if reception would be present to give her the key card and each time reception said "yes". Reception was not there when she arrived and she had to call the hotel's emergency number (as she was waiting outisde for 30 minutes). A superb location, close to Darling Harbour and a gaming tournament I was attending. Front desk staff we very friendly, attentive and very helpful. A huge thank you to Pratik for his kindness and care, he's is an asset to your front desk. Dropping my bag off before check in was not a problem. The room was extremely clean and spacious. A beautiful restful balcony to enjoy my morning cup of tea. Look forward to my next stay. Highly recommended.
"I recently stayed at APX Darling Harbour and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The room had an unpleasant smell, the carpet near the bathroom was completely wet, and the TV remote wasn't working. I hope the hotel takes these issues seriously and improves their services."
