I’ve waited a long time to share this review. I had been a patient of Aprils for ten years. I presented my symptoms to her and she brushed it off as anxiety. Turns out, after seeing a doctor who actually listened to me, I have POTS. If you’re wanting to find the root cause instead of just throwing pills at the symptoms, then April is not the doctor for you. However if you need an easy hookup to SSRI’s then she is your girl.
Dr. April Stewart and her staff is absolutely AMAZING! She is knowledgeable, listens and goes above and beyond to help. I have never felt so comfortable with a doctor and am so thankful I found her.
She refused to refer me to a gastroenterologist. Apparently daily extreme nausea, throwing up regularly and intestinal pain is most likely fibromyalgia. I was blown away by the complete refusal, and stopped seeing her. I already had a huge lack of trust with doctors from my experience in the military, and have suffered a lot of untreated pain since. Now my new doctors tell me that she was most likely in a bad mood and wanted to get through her day quickly. Not excusable at all.
