Admittedly, much of our negative experience with AppraisalTek was due poor communication from the mortgage lender. That said, I had to follow up with Robert 4 times to get an answer to my questions. I have a demanding, fulltime job and 2 young children, one of whom is special needs. I really don't have the mental or physical energy to chase someone down over and over again.
This is just our experience. We applied for a HELOC in June. The credit union ordered the appraisal. Nicolas came out on one Saturday morning at 8am, professional, courteous and thorough. He was done in an hour. When he learned that we needed the report sent to the credit union as quickly as possible, he took it on to speed up the process. If you CAN avoid this company do with all cost. They under-estimate our home value. Now We have to find different company and do it again and pay the cost again. It's PDF unprofessional and no pictures.
