Restaurant was understaffed. Our server was terrific.
I have to say that I love Applebee's but they have been falling short lately. My food came out lukewarm. The apps was warm, my husband's rice was overcooked and dried. We told the waitress and she says "oh I'm sorry the rice is made in big batches " Okay so what, it obviously that's a bad batch. So she offered a different side, so we chose loaded mashed potatoes, and that was disappointing. The cheese wasn't melt and the potatoes was not hot. Chippewa Applebee's is not it.
The restaurant was less than half full, yet it took 15-20 minutes to get seated. Service was slow. It also took an extended amount of time to receive our appetizers/soup. While friendly, our server was inattentive.
Understaffed today. Waited for a server for 20 minutes to wait on us. Steak was overcooked.
