I've been to Applebee's only a few times. The first time I went, I pleasantly surprised. I've always said it's good food. However, not at the meal I had at this one. I went for lunch and had a steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were either left open in the fridge overnight or were from a box --- odd, off flavor. It was also chock full of dried herbs that were chalky feeling in the mouth. We went to happy hour the food was not my favorite it was kind of dry but ok 3/5. The staff are really nice and helpful ok restaurant. Also we went a second time (not on happy hour) the food was better 4/5 the staff was still really nice. It was still ok but of course better than the last time.
I went around noon today and it wasn't super busy. Had to wait a little long to be seated (a bit less than 10 minutes). But once the host returned I was seated and served very quickly with excellent service! There were no issues with my order and overall I had a very pleasant dining experience!
Waiter was amazing. Not to attentive but was ready to serve.
