Honestly, my kids and I only go here once a year for my kids' birthday. For whatever reason, is his favorite place. Not anymore. Since combining with IHop, it has significantly gone way downhill. More than half of the previous selections that were on the Applebee's menu have disappeared, leaving the customers to settle. The waitress was not attentive and a little rude. We hadn't eaten at Applebee's in quite a long time, but it was on our way home from a weekend trip; we were hungry and decided to try our luck. I'm so happy we did. I ordered a quesadilla burger which was nicely seasoned and juicy, a bit messy but different and rather fun to eat. Love the food and service is usually good but my wife and I have had to quit going. I miss it but can not stand to have the terrible music blaring at me while I'm trying to enjoy time with my wife and my food. It's out of hand. Used to go twice a month. Haven't been back for 3 months. No plans to return as there are better options for an enjoyable evening. Been nice knowing ya!
Visited on 2/14/26 at 5:30 pm, we ordered 2 steak dinners with salads, loaded potatoes, and broccoli. We asked for extra dressing, didn't get it, asked for the steak medium, it was raw and bloody, the loaded potatoes were cold. The bar tender was rude, 1st manager was rude, 2nd manager was rude. We will never eat at any Applebee's again. Texas Roadhouse has superior food, service, and prices.

The server was awful and the food worse. The server literally did not seem to care if we were needing anything and totally ignored us. Several people left without ordering because they never came to take their order after 15 minutes. The restraunt was about 1/4 filled and that was the excuse the server gave us as the reason they were so slow. Lost us as a customer.
We went to the Applebee's on 12/4, what a great experience! All the staff we met went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The manager Darvy, came to our table to check on us, and it was obvious the attitude of the staff comes from the top. Couldn't have been happier, 10 out of 10 experience.
My husband and I stopped at Applebees in Peru Illinois on 11-15-25. It was around 4:30 and not very busy. We didn’t order anything special. The 2 for $25 menu. I ordered the grilled cheeseburger and fries and my husband had the bourbon street chicken with our appetizer being the boneless wings with sweet Asian chilli sauce and ranch dressing for dipping.
