I entered into a contract with Apple Tree Four, LLC dba under several other names, i.e., Apple Tree Fox Valley, Apple Tree Real Estate, Apple Tree GB, Apple Tree Homes expecting a quality new home built as they advertise as "luxury" homes. Apple Ridge was shady right from the beginning. I should have listened to my gut when the first red flag went up, and ran in the opposite direction. The sales associate wanted me to sign a contract and put down a non refundable deposit - without telling me what the final cost of the home would be, or what any of the finishings would be. They know full well that no one would want any of the products included in the base price, and that there would be many upgrades to get a decent looking home. You won’t be informed but Apple Ridge in Appleton and it’ll have public walking and biking trail with 3 street entries using the community sidewalks that runs in front of these homes. The buyer is assessed by the city to pay 50% of this public path which they have widen to 10’ to be apart of the city trail plan. Five feet wider than the average sidewalk width that will run through your front lawn as an easement, using almost 1/2 of your front yard leaving you barely enough room to park your auto in your driveway without bein... read more
