Apple Ridge was shady right from the beginning. I should have listened to my gut when the first red flag went up, and ran in the opposite direction. The sales associate wanted me to sign a contract and put down a non refundable deposit - without telling me what the final cost of the home would be, or what any of the finishings would be. They know full well that no one would want any of the products included in the base price, and that there would be many upgrades to get a decent looking home.
