Went for a 30 min body massage which cost me $57. Linda the masseuse who could barely speak English tried to explain the type of massages while the session was on. This should have been done earlier. The massage was so very average. At one point I also got a super hot towel on my back and it was left there for awhile. Walked out of the place paying $65 and felt robbed. When I called back to explain my experience no one could understand me.. Never again ... to this place.
I asked for a mani/pedi. The only person who was available told me her name was Nin. I looked at the shelf to pick out polishes. After about 10 seconds, she spoke sharply & tried to rush me. There was no one else waiting. When I sat down, I showed her the polish I had chosen for the fingernails & said, "This isn't see-through is it? I don't want see-through polish." very nice nail salon – Cleanest nail place i have ever seen in nyc. They take the instruments out of sterile packages like at a doctors office. They give a nice massage when drying your nails and even help you put the oil on ur nails so they dont smudge when you leave.
Best on The West – I cannot recommend Apple NYC enough. It is by far my favorite nail salon in New York and I've tried plenty! The staff are the nicest you could possibly meet, especially the Boss Lady who could not be more attentive and dedicated to making the customer happy. Brazilian waxes quite decent – I just tried this place out because I got a giftcard (it’s cool – called LuxeNow gift cards specializes only in nail salons in Manhattan -- and was pleasantly surprised. The mani/pedi is a couple of minutes longer than the other places I’ve been too, but are so much better ..., better nail polish that will last longer, more comfortable chairs, nicer/cleaner environment, etc...
Favorite on the UWS – As a resident of the Upper West Side I've tried plenty of salons in this area. Without a doubt Apple NYC on Amsterdam is the best. Best service, value for money and a very comfortable environment. The staff are extremely nice and attentive. It is a pleasure to go there which is what a salon should be.
Clean salon and pleasant experience – My manicures and pedicures always come out great here. They don't rush and it seems to last longer than manicures/pedicures I've had from other salons. The thing I really like is that they are very good about hygiene... all the tools are sterilized and individually packaged. The prices aren't too bad either. Best all around day spa – This is the best all around day spa I have been to. The decor is lovely and the place itself is very relaxing. There is classical music playing softly in the background which was really nice while I was getting a pedicure. It was so soothing I almost fell asleep. The mani and pedi itself came out great.
