Apple Hill Antiques Most antique stores you aren't going to get a deal unlless you don't want authenticity and a good find. Go to a garage sale for a deal. Apple Hill is priced very well . For the locoation;some of the best places I have found over the years are off the beat and path. They have a huge sign and when you look for antique dealers in the phone book they're there. Love it.!!

Beware of consignment I consigned numerous items with the owner, Roger Snyder, two years ago before we moved from State College. Some items sold and I was compensated. Last September I contacted Roger and told him I would be in town in a few weeks to reclaim the unsold items. When I arrived Roger told me that he could find only a few. Three months later he claims he is still looking but hasn't found the "missing" items. He refuses to reimburse me his appraised value less his 30% commission for the items saying that if and wh... read more

poor location and high prices Well, I had high hopes for this antique market...I happened upon it quite by accident (a problem in and of itself, as it is not located in a very visible place). However, while there is a decent array of antiques (and some very nice pieces of furniture) it seemed that many of the products were actually higher priced here than at other antique malls in the area. It's fun to wander around here, but I would not go here with the hopes of finding any great bargains. (if you can find it!) PROS: CONS: ... read more

A MUST SEE ANTIQUE SHOP – This has been one of the by far the best antique shop I have ever visited. I have been to antique shops up and down the east coast and I have never been to one with such quality and fairly priced merchandise. I was able to speak to the owner, Roger Snyder, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have recently decided to consign some of my items to Roger and he has gotten great prices for me as well as returning my profits in a timely fashion. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE WHO LOVES ANTIQUE... read more
