Relatively good school. App State is outgrowing Boone, and therefore has a park and housing problem (App State is accepting more students than it should). That being said, App State is in a beautiful location and easy to navigate. The roads can be busy at times and the weather can be precarious, but once you live there, you get used to it.
It was a good school for me, not a huge fan of what it's turned into though.
