My kids started adventuring with APEX several years ago at Wild Day camp. So fun! I really love that there is a camp for every age group that is different and adventurous. They are now doing overnight backpacking trips, and they come home with so much glow, knowledge and independence. They are always looking forward to their next trip! APEX anchors our summer plans for our daughter! Our daughter (7yo) is about to start her third year in APEX's Wild Day Camp and it is the only camp that she actively looks forward to all year long. Living in DC, APEX has proven to be a great place for her to get outside, get dirty, learn about nature, and grow as an individual. My Wife was so excited to book a women’s backpacking trip, so excited. Until she read that cell phones are not allowed and would be collected at beginning of trip. I don’t think so! A group of women in the wilderness with strangers and no communication. That’s a terrible idea, sounds very strange!, and suspect. Our 2 kids have been attending APEX camps for the past 4 years, and we really appreciate the amount of effort Libbey and Alex put into making their summer programs both fun, safe and memorable. Our kids have done the adventure day camps as well as the multi-night camping hiking trips, and they always come home with smiles and new friends. We are looking forward to another summer with Apex!
