The bouncer was incredibly rude so we didn’t even bother going in.
I decided to check out this bar because I’d heard so much about its popularity, but honestly, I didn't get the hype at all. Be prepared for the bouncer at the entrance to demand a physical ID card. On the Thursday evening I visited, every table was taken—though they are so tiny that they only seat a couple of people. Apotheke. Just wow. I found this place completely by accident, and it did not disappoint. Hands down, these are some of the best cocktails I have ever had in New York, and I have been a New Yorker for most of my life.
