I was nervous when I booked this tour, because I was going by myself, and I don't have a ton of experience kayaking, but my guide made me feel very welcome, and I was lucky enough to get to ride with her daughter, Jordan. Her conversation and fun facts about Lake Superior made my experience even better! Randy and James are absolute gems. We toured with Randy and she was fantastic! If you want a relaxing tour with a fun, funny, and easy to talk to guide, book here!😁 she had no one booked after us and took us out a little further than where we were "supposed to go." 10/10 experience and would come back
We did the Houghten Sea Cave kayak tours with a group of 5 and had the best time! Randy, Danny, and Jimmy are all super knowledgeable and took time to ensure we were safe and comfortable. They were very patient as we explored the caves and shared great information/history throughout. We had a blast and will definitely be back!
My friend Jay and I had booked with Apostle Islands Ice Caves Walking Tour towards the end of February this year. On the day he was a bit ill so it was just my side-kick Alibi and myself. Our guid Ron met us on the ice of Lake Superior in Washburn for a magical walk along the shore and Bay. I grew up on Lake Michigan but have not spent much time on Superior. Now I’m afraid I’m hooked.
