Poisoned our waters
Poisoning water supply by releasing carcinogen 1,4-Dioxane into sewer system. It ends up in the water supply of towns downstream from Burlington, all the way to Wilmington. According their signage, Apollo Chemical is a division of Mount Vernon Chemicals, LLC. Unrelated to this company, when I was a kid, the Haw River was black as ink with large floating piles of suds on the surface. It was a completely dead river. Trying to kill our river and water source. Dumping 1,4 dioxane into my drinking water and I'm having to pay for it with my health and finances. This place should have been shut down a year ago or more.
