We used to come here all the time and pay the non-resident fee. But now, you have to be a resident of McKinney to enter. Came here in our swimsuits and everything. Not sure when this changed. Two stars for when we used to be allowed to enter. Otherwise I’d give it one.
This review is for the outdoor pool daily pass. I’ve brought my children, neighbors, and friends to enjoy the pool. The various depths and activities have been fantastic. The lifeguards are actively scanning for quiet issues so that’s huge. I’ve continued to return so clearly I recommend the pool. Be mindful accounts for resident pricing must be created ahead of time.
We signed up for swim lessons in the preschool and beginner levels, and the instructors were so patient and kind. They had more patience with my children than I do, and (as a teacher myself) I saw my children learning life saving skills through play. My five year old was able to teach me the “monkey game” and I use the key words that they used in their lessons to help them practice those skills between lessons (“float like a starfish” etc). If u r not resident u have to ask someone from McKinney to let u in other than that its 10/10 Clean, spacious and fun
