We hired Apex Ambulance to transport my wheelchair bound 96 year old father and 92 year old mother to their grandson's wedding. The vehicle picked them up an hour later than scheduled and my parents arrived shooken up and missed the wedding ceremony entirely . The company provided no explanation for the late pick up and offerred a $150 refund of the more than $1000 charge for the service. Couldn't figure it out between my insurance and Apex. Was charged an obscene amount for a 10 mile ride that i had no choice in taking. On top of that since they couldn't come to an agreement with my insurance they sent me to collections. Predatory to say the least. This is why people don't trust the system anymore.
