We have Arizona's largest public observing telescope. We offer on select days and nights at varying times; a Couple's Night Sky Photography Workshop, a daytime Solar program including a radio telescope, and, Night Sky Observing. Founded in 2005, Apache-Sitgreaves Observatory has provided a place for viewing the Universe. The google directions are not correct, it goes to a civilians private property.
Great place not open to public? Why I don't know
It was a great experience glad I went very informative
I wish we could have found the observatory. Google map took us down Lodgepole Rd to Sunrise Ln. Which is clearly marked private. STOP and turn back. It also took us to Homestead and Jeep Trail which is also marked private so we gave up.
