I tried to make an appointment two days in a row to get a membership and it seems this place doesn't have any staff members. There was no answer when I called the phone numbers to make an appointment and nobody answered the doorbell for guests at either the Newport or Middletown locations.
Yesterday, I had the most wholesome experience at this Anytime Fitness. I worked out at a different time than usual. It was mid-morning and it was an older crowd. One older gentleman had memory issues: I met him once, but he met me five times. I noticed the gym owner walking the floor, cleaning the equipment, and surreptitiously keeping an eye on this gentleman. When the customer finished his routine, he began to wander. The gym is in a great location. Plenty of parking. The owners are nice people. Efforts are being made to keep the gym clean
The gym is in a great location. Plenty of parking. The owners are nice people. Unfortunately the gym is not cleaned as needed and the equipment is barely maintained. WARNING!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE the bathrooms. Broken tiles, mold, mildew and FOULED toilets.
