I signed with the Anytime Fitness off of Port Saint Lucie Blvd to have an active membership to use for months while I was in Japan. I have been back to the Port Saint Lucie Blvd location, but I’m not a fan of it. I decided to try out another close Anytime Fitness location since I’m locked into the membership. I had a very disappointing experience at this Anytime Fitness location. While I was quietly texting on my phone, an old white skinny trainer approached me and told me that if I was going to be on my phone, I needed to step outside. Not only was this inaccurate, but the way it was communicated came across as rude and unprofessional. I understand that staff have responsibilities and gym policies to enforce, but there is a respectful way to speak to members. Unfortunately, I did not feel respected during this interaction. ​I moved to this gym specifically because I wanted to pay for a membership, never go, and blame it on inconvenient hours. Todd completely ruined that plan. The gym is open 24/7, it’s clean, and Todd is such a genuinely great, encouraging guy that I actually feel guilty staying on the couch. If you want a gym where you can successfully fail your fitness goals in peace, avoid this place. Todd’s excellent management will accidentally make you healthy.
