I spoke to Mandeep on September 25, and he confirmed my account was closed and that I would not be charged. Despite that, I was charged again. I’ve seen many other customers report the same issue — this is not a one-off mistake. I have already disputed the charge with my bank, reported the matter to my provincial consumer protection office, and will file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and pursue small claims if the refund is not issued promptly. Beware of unfair billing!!! I’m really disappointed and frustrated with Anytime Fitness. I cancelled my membership last August, but they keep charging my account every month. I even went to the gym in person to cancel, and when I asked for a cancellation notice, they told me they couldn’t give one — which made no sense at all. Do not go here on multiple occasions there were problems with extra money taken out . Extra fees. And even when you are told they will fix it and get you your money back they tell you there will be a cheque in the mail that never comes SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE STAY AWAYA!!!!!!!!
