Great neighborhood Italian – We have been dining at Antonio's at the Kercheval and the former Mack location for years. The food is hand crafted and excellent, the prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. Andy makes the bar experience neighborhood cozy .

Good food... but not "twenty bucks a plate" good. – Dinners ranged from $15-$25. The building was nice with some asthetically pleasing skylights but the dinginess of the bathroom was not reflective of the menu prices. Our server was polite and eager but never asked for our drink orders (maybe he was just new). I ordered the special: Raviolis filled with some kind of fancy sausage and shrimp under a delicious white cream sauce. I got 5 raviolis and below average salad for $19. My wife ordered the lasagna. It was enough to fee... read more

VERY POOR SERVICE AND SUB-STANDARD QUALITY – The plate came out with what looked like a bowl (read- swamp) of Kraft macaroni and cheese sauce with a few pieces of ultra thin veal meat (resembling cheap chopped ham lunch meat) hidden way below the sauce. I told the waiter immediately after he came to the table to see how we liked the food, and he did nothing! The sauce should have enhanced the dish, not completely cover it and the rest of the plate. When I finally saw the manager, I brought up the problem I had with the food.... read more

VERY POOR SERVICE AND POOR QUALITY – The manager is very rude. I described the problem I had with the food, and the guy made no accomodations for me. He said, "you should have told the waiter less sauce if you didn't want that much sauce!" How was I to know that the veal would be covered in the equivalent of a bowl of sauce!!! Secondly, I told the waiter immediately after he came to the table to see how we liked the food, and he did nothing! The sauce should have enhanced the dish, not completely cover it and the rest of the... read more

Antonio's Pollo d'Umbria is my favorite dish in any Detroit area Restaurant! Other dishes are good. Unfortunately I can't recommend the soups. They have a great value card for repeat diners.
